Expressions of Interest are invited for this magnificent Quest (Daher) Kodiak 100. The aircraft will become available at the end of January 2024 (possibly earlier by negotiation). It is a very low time aircraft with TTIS of 312.3 hours. The Kodiak is a superb aircraft in every way; as an extremely solid IFR platform, as a low speed 70 kt (with one stage of flap) sightseeing aircraft at MTOW, as an excellent performer in the flight levels for low fuel consumption and perhaps it's greatest asset, extraordinary short field capability, even when high, hot and heavy. This aircraft is fitted out with the executive Summit Interior, comprising top of the line reclining leather seating for pilot and 7 passengers. Two interior tables and 2 x 2 drawer cabinets at the front of the cabin. The cabinets may be quickly removed to provide all forward facing seating or should it be required, changed over for the standard Kodiak 100 seating for pilot and 9 passengers. Each cabin seat can be removed in around 30 seconds to convert the cabin into an enormous space in which to sleep, carry camping equipment, stow electric bikes, motor bikes or cargo. Cargo tie down points are located throughout the cabin. The Kodiak 100 is the ultimate personal touring aircraft that can go just about anywhere. The P&W PT6-34 750hp power plant (under warranty until 1000 hours) provides more than ample power for every situation with economy.
In comparison with the Cessna Caravan, the ergonomics are superior in relation to both ease of entry, egress and movement about the cabin. The position of the crew doors and windows provide perfect unobstructed side and downward vision. The greatest contrast is the electric inertial separator. In the Caravan, it takes considerable strength to deploy the separator at speed whilst in the Kodiak it is a flick of a switch. A vastly superior installation. It also has electric back-up. The Kodiak is 8 feet shorter than the 208B Grand Caravan, 4 feet shorter than the short body 208 Caravan for a wingspan of 45 feet versus the 52 feet for the Caravan. Tail heights are about the same. The Kodiak is a joy to fly and economical to maintain. The build quality is second to none. The Kodiak is a clean sheet design that had durability, ruggedness, reliability and ease of maintenance in remote locations as the major design criteria.
